Pennsylvania Institute of Massage Therapy

The Pennsylvania Institute of Massage Therapy is located conveniently on Route 309 in Quakertown Pennsylvania, however, is several yards away from the roadway itself. This enables easy access, yet provides a quiet and pleasant environment in which to learn.

In the rear of the building the grounds are quite suitable quiet study or relaxation during the warmer months. Occasionally an A&P class has been known to use this area as a temporary classroom!

The main Massage Classroom is equipped with massage tables, student tables, and five changing rooms for the convenience of the students. It is also equipped with a number of student aids such as video, skeletal models, power point presentations, and posters. Additionally, there are dimmer lights located in the ceiling which are used during video presentations as well as during massage practice time.

The Anatomy and Physiology Classroom is equipped with student tables and a number of study aids such as video, skeletal models, an overhead projector, power point projector, and a variety of posters.

The Advanced portion of our curriculum is taught in our third classroom which is also equipped with massage tables, student tables, and a variety of different tools to aid the advanced techniques that are learned throughout the advanced portion.

The PIMT Clinic serves the public by offering one hour, full body massages which are performed by senior students. We have seven clinic rooms available.

The PIMT store is used by students and area therapists alike. Many items are in stock, and some are special order....either way the Massage Therapist is assured quality merchandise at a competitive price! The store is also available on-line from this web site.

It is important that students have a place to go so that they can study and/or rest for a while. The Student Lounge at PIMT is equipped with a small library of excellent reference texts and periodicals. Also, there is a kitchenette which is equipped with a refrigerator, a microwave oven, and a toaster oven. Additionally, items such as snacks and coffee or tea are available for purchase.
