Director

Robert W. Tosh, D.C. has had a private chiropractic practice in Quakertown since 1985, and had been affiliated with the Pennsylvania College of Straight Chiropractic in Horsham, Pennsylvania from 1988 until 1995. Throughout the years Dr. Tosh has contributed in many capacities for the college which has included serving as Director of Research, Faculty Chairperson, Health Center Director, and Instructor.

Dr. Tosh's interest in muscle interactions and massage were fostered by his research in the field of Surface Electrode Electromyography. He has made substantial contributions in this field, and has authored a chapter in the book entitled Clinical EMG for Surface Recordings: Volume 2 written by Dr. Jeffrey R. Cram and Associates. In addition, Dr. Tosh has given several lectures around the country outlining his findings to both doctors of medicine and chiropractic.

Dr. Tosh holds a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the Pennsylvania College of Chiropractic, a Diplomat in Thermography from the International Chiropractic Association, a Physiotherapy certification from the Parker Chiropractic College, a certification in Disability Impairment Ratings from Logan College, and had been certified in Biofeedback Therapy by the Biofeedback Certification Institute of America. Additionally, Dr. Tosh is a CPR and First Aid Instructor for the American Red Cross and has completed a course of post-graduate study leading to a Diplomat in Chiropractic Orthopedics. Dr. Tosh is also a certified Neuromuscular Therapist as well as a Massage Therapist. He has been teaching Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology at PIMT since 1993.

 

Co-Director

Terry Ann Tosh serves PIMT as Co-Director. As such, she is responsible for much of the day to day operation of the school.

Upon graduation from Massage School, Terry has added to her knowledge of massage by attending numerous continuing education seminars, some of which include Myotherapy, Reflexology, Aromatherapy, Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT), Myoskeletal Alignment, and Nutrition. She has studied extensively under Aaron Mattes who developed Active Isolated Stretching. Terry has also had over 300 hours of training in Orthopedic Massage taught by James Waslaski. She serves as an Assistant in Active Isolated Stretching and Orthopedic Massage Seminars. Terry has a wealth of experience in the fields of administration and sales. She is certified by the American Red Cross as a CPR and First Aid instructor.

Terry is currently serving as President of the Pennsylvania Massage Therapy Association (PaMTA)

Administrative Staff

 

 Sonja Meyers, CMT

Sonja is the Director Student Affairs. She is primarily responsible to the coordination and facilitation of student performance. Sonja also assists prospective students with facility tours, enrollment issues, and is available to answer any questions regarding the program.

  Sherri Cacciolo, CMT

Sherri is the Clinic Director. In this capacity she is responsible for clinic orientation, overseeing the scheduling of students and ensuring that confidential client folders are maintained. Sherri is also responsible for overseeing the clinical evaluation and grading of students.

  Lisa Carpenter, CMT

Lisa serves as clinic supervisor as well as Seminar Coordinator. In this capacity she is responsible for scheduling all seminars, coordinating the mailings, and over seeing the seminars. As a Certified Massage Therapist, she has taken numerous continuing education seminars. Some of which include Neuromuscular Therapy and Myofascial Release in which she has completed the Masters Series.

  Brad Carpenter, CMT

Brad does desktop publishing for the Institute as well as updating the Web-site. Brad is also a clinic supervisor and is responsible for the coordination of store purchases and inventory. As a Massage Therapist, Brad has taken numerous continuing education seminars. Some of which include Myofascial Release, Neuromuscular Therapy, Pregnancy Massage, Active Isolated Stretching and Orthopedic Massage. Brad currently serves as an assistant for James Waslaski's Orthopedic Massage seminar.

  Michele Childs, CMT

Michele serves as Administrative Assistant, Coordinator of Student Records, and serves as a clinic supervisor. Part of Michele's duties include the scheduling of special speakers. She is a massage therapist who has a private practice.

  Joann Beitmen

Joann serves as a part-time receptionist for PIMT and Quakertown Family Chiropractic as well as helping QFC with Billing.
